Development of the Alpinresort Schillerkopf
Our history
Our family has been shaping hospitality in Bürserberg since 1927. From the original Alpine inn to the modern Alpine resort: each generation has developed the hotel further without losing sight of our family’s core values.
- Foundation – 1st generation
The founders (great-grandparents) opened the Alpengasthof Schillerkopf in 1929 on a plot of land purchased in 1899. With 17 multi-bed rooms, the establishment was known for its hospitality and conviviality. The foundations for a living family tradition and close connection to the region were laid early on.</li
- Grandparents – 2nd generation
Albert and Josefa continued to run the house after the war. Albert married his housekeeper Josefa, and together they had two children – Elisabeth (1949) and Christine (1951), our mother. However, the prosperous years were followed by difficult times: in 1965, the inn burnt down to the ground.
- Parents – 3rd generation
Christine and her husband Richard Bosek dared to make a new start and opened the Berghotel Schillerkopf in 1977.
In 1983, the hotel was modernised and brought up to 4-star standard, with the family atmosphere naturally playing a central role.
- Today – 4th generation
The hotel was taken over by Roché and Marcel Bosek in 2003. In 2012, the hotel was expanded to 70 rooms and suites and converted into the 4-star superior Alpinresort Schillerkopf. Under the current management of Roché Bosek, the alpine resort combines modern ideas with living tradition – an oasis of well-being for relaxation, enjoyment and nature.
